EHS Report Shipping - SDS send to Sold To Party, instead of Ship To Party

Dear experts,

 

Our currently EHS Report Shipping solution only automatically send SDS to Ship To Party or their Contact Persons (with MSDS Receiver function).

 

We have a requirement that SDS should be sent to Sold To Party for couple countries, and the rest of the world continue to send to Ship To Party.

 

Is that possible to configure Partner determination procedure WESR or other related Customization to meet the above requirement?

 

 

Quote from SAP Library : Partner determination procedure WESR

For report shipping, the partner determination procedure ship-to party material safety data sheet recipient (WESR) has been set up. In the standard system, the partner determination procedure WESR contains the obligatory partner functionsMSDS recipient (SR) and ship-to party (WE). The ship-to party is generally also the MSDS recipient. This means that both partner functions with identical addresses are assigned as standard to a business partner that belongs to a particular account group.

As it is possible that the recipient of a report is not always the ship-to party, the SAP System allows you to enter a different address for the MSDS recipient or to specify a number of MSDS recipients.

export of specifications

HI all,

Is it possible to export a specification, and ensure that the  export contains all other specifications that the REAL_SUB contains? For example, a REAL_SUB may have a composition of 4 LIST_SUBs. I would like the 4 LIST_SUBs data to also be part of the export. When I say LIST_SUB data, I mean the specification data (value assignments) of that LIST_SUB.

I cannot seem to get this to work with the standard export process, unless I am missing something.

Can this be done? (without manually exporting each LIST_SUB)

Configuring examination in EHSAMBTAET transaction

Hi friends.

 

My question is about configuration examination tab of the EHSAMBTAET transaction. What does I need to do to make the examinations of a medical service are defined as the risks or employee tasks? It needs to be dynamic in my system, that is, each task or risk exposure profile must have a different set of exams.

Can anyone help me?

I am creating one custom field as Drop down where value will come from config. how to bind value to this custom drop down field in BOPF.

 

Please suggest me how to do the same.

 

Also, I have created one event in get_definition method.

 

But i am unable to handle the same in process event and get data.

500 connection timed out

Hi experts,

I have an issue while extracting a report for a specification(PLM) from WebUI.

The data in the specification is huge.As a result, when a report is extracted, a total of 127 pages is printed.

I was successful when i extracted the report once.

But when i tried it again, i got the message "500 connection timed out".

In my first attempt, it took almost 15 to 20 mins to extract the report. But couldn't get the desired output while trying it out for the second time.

I am assuming that this is related to the server time out.

Can anyone suggest what needs to be done to overcome this issue?

Is it possible to email MSDS from a delivery or PGI every time without going into CVD1

We would like to trigger an email of the Material Safety Data Sheet either at the time of Delivery or PGI every time.  Is this possible and how ?

I did setup my output type, I added a contact person and I can get the MSDS into CVD1.  But in CVD1 will it only email out once every 12 months ? any help will be appreciated.

Hi All SAP Experts!!!

Seeking help from all of you for enlighten me with inputs for enabling me to take next step as a SAP EHS Functional Consultant Role.

 

Quick information about myself, I am 43 year young guy, have done my Masters in Chem, Post Graduate Diploma in Safety Health and Environment, Certification in NEBOSH-International General Occupational Health & Safety, Lead Auditor of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 with 20+ years of industrial experience of implementation of Safety Health and Environmental Management in various industries (Engineering, Oil & Gas, Automobile, Automotive, Chemical, Facility Management & Infrastructure at India, Middle East, South Africa & US) by working and auditing them for respective EHS Standards.

 

As I have personally used and witnessed usage of many of the EHS related software which were ERP/ SAP based and found them very useful for making an fool-proof arrangement for effective EHS implementation. I did found some of the functional improvements areas during usage of the same i.e. by deploying EHS best practices I have witnessed at other industries directly or through software which will finally benefit the end-user and hence for the society too.

 

Following are my queries -

1. What can be the career path for person like me, who is having EHS functional knowledge & experience but does not have direct SAP implementation related experience and certification?

2. What are the minimal certification and qualification I will be requiring before switching to SAP Functional Consultant Role?

3. Who can be some of the best employer for me start this role?

 

Any other information, suggestions and inputs in this regards are more than welcome.

MSDS is in status generation possible always

Hi everyone,

 

I have 2 issues:

1.

I am trying to create a msds report from the specification. When I check the report in CG56, the document is in the status " Generation possible" for a longer time ( say 2 days also)

and would not change the status. How do i release the report or change the status of this report. Is there any config change needs to be made to prepare the report immediately?.OR in doc type SBR, do i need to make any changes. Please explain.

 

2. When I try to create a report from specification, error pops up " Cannot create report for specification XXXXXXXX, variant YYYYYYY, language DE.

what is the reason for this and where am i comitting mistake.

Identical Specs in Hitlist

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm running into a very odd problem.  This issue has occurred twice in the last two months and I have no idea what could be causing it.  We are getting identical entries in our hitlist for the same spec.  This is not a duplicate spec issue, but rather the same exact spec is showing up twice in the hitlist.

 

When I look at the table ESTRH I can see that there are two entries with overlapping dates, but I have no idea how or where to begin searching to figure out how this could happen.  Below is a screen shot of the table.  This seems to be triggered by using a copy template to pull data into a VAT from another spec.

 

Has anyone else seen this before?  Does anyone have any theories about what causes this?  Thanks in advance for any help.

GLM - Sequence number on/off

Dear Experts,

 

This is regarding a GLM label. There are one label. the same label is being used for many customer. now only few customer want a sequence number on label and rest do not want sequence number.

 

Simple solution which i can think of that, create 2 labels templates in which one will be having sequence number and other will not.

 

But, client is asking, can't we manage the this requirement in same label template?

 

is there any functionality by which we can toggle sequence number On and Off based ??

 

can anybody guide on the same.

SAP EHSM Seed data / example data for better idea on data input during configuration.

Hello Friends,

 

We are implementing SAP EHSM5.0 Ehp7 on ECC6.0 for Incident Management at QatarGas(QG). It is a Fresh implementation on EHSM where as QG is using other SAP modules and functionalities  with older versions for long time.

 

To give a kick start on implementation and get master data our BASIS person made a production copy and put new add-on Component on EHSM and made  Sandbox/Development box ready, during this process since it is production copy some of seed/sample data is missing, which is good help to know exact information need for that field. I have good idea on EHS Classic Version but EHSM is new to us. if it is Classic version of EHS , We need some help.

 

What are the best alternatives to get/see sample data.

Please suggest any configuation guide on EHSM - Incident Management.

Action Items are not coming into work overview list

Dear All,

After creating Action in EHSM - Incident Management, work item is not coming into work overview list for Implementer or Responsible persons worklist. For Maintenance and other notification still configuration is not done but standard action should be notified to implementer.

 

Any guess....

Batch Job and Output Type

Dear EHS Experts,

 

Right now I'm on the process of creating the batch job for EHS reports. Can somebody please provide me the step by step procedure on how to create the appropriate job? It would greatly appreciated if it includes steps on where and how to create variants if necessary. In addition, can somebody please provide me as well the correct configuration for the output type?

Issue in Audit Management

Hi Experts,

 

In Audit Management , while creating Audit Plan , Audit or CAPA, the defaults values are coming up in Participant Tab. How to delete the standard participants from participant/contact person tab.

 

do i want to make any changes in configuration or i want to make changes in coding level.

Help me understand. How do I configure OR for STO and track the Delivery.

 

STO needs online checks so it was configured under PURCHASING. If I maintain OR data in CBRC01, the Online checking / Tracking excludes the transaction chain. if I maintain the subsequent Delivery and GI under Sales, then tracking will work and we will get the results in CBRC20, but will miss out on online checks because Online checks are done at PO level. I am struggling to streamline this..
